My practice name, BodyLogic NMT, reflects my understanding that muscular aches and pains are most often natural reflexive responses to over-use or injury and that NMT is a particularly effective way to assess and treat them.

Personal: After nearly a 2 year quest for pain relief in the traditional medical sphere, I learned about NMT.  The success of that treatment led me to become certifed in NMT and to open a private practice in Portland in 1990.

I am grateful to Kathleen Norris, DC, who suggested NMT for my pain problem, supported my interest in taking the course, and continues to be a part of my own wellness maintenance program; and to Annie Wyman, who encouraged me in the initial stages of my education and practice.  Tom Myer's Anatomy Trains has been another major influence in recent years.

I deeply appreciate the support of my husband and sons who tolerated my practicing on them!

This work is deeply satisfying to the nurse in me who wants to 'help', the curious kid in me who wants to understand 'why', and the big sister/teacher/mother in me who wants to tell you about everything!
